Chace Ashley Horse Training
I use several different training techniques to get the most out of my performance horses. It's like a Pro Baseball player, they don't just get good by playing baseball, they do several different drills that build on their weak points. Or like karate. If you joined karate, they don't just start you off fighting. I just don't throw my horses in front of a bunch of live cattle until I feel they are ready. I set up different environments that will strengthen their weak points so they will be successful, not frightened. Some examples of what I do is make them work a cow without a rider or anything on the horses head and then introduce each new variable as it becomes necessary. Then I will let it work some cows to test its weak points and note its strengths. I constantly keep reviewing old chapters and adding new ones.
